Consultation on Academy Status Conversion

The Governors of this school have decided to begin the process by which we can convert from a Leicestershire County Council Church of England (Controlled) Primary school to an independent, state Church of England (Controlled) Primary Academy.

Although we have been considering the benefit of changing our status for some time, the Governing Body is committed to making a full and detailed analysis of the potential opportunities and risks of becoming an Academy.  When they feel they have all the information they require Governors will make a final decision on conversion. 

As part of the required consultation process we want to ensure that you are given the opportunity to find out about this important issue and make the appropriate comment.

You are invited to a meeting of all school stakeholders on Tuesday 31st January at 7 p.m. in the school hall to discuss the conversion proposal. The meeting will begin with a short presentation and this will be followed by a question and answer session.  I hope that you are able to come to the meeting so that you can consider the information and give your feedback.

The Governing Body is committed to ensuring a decision is reached which is in the best interests of the school and its pupils now and in the future. Our core values, Inspire ~ Believe ~ Learn ~ Achieve and our Christian ethos will remain unchanged and we have no intention of altering admissions arrangements.
