Primary Mathematics Challenge

On Tuesday, our brilliant Maths Team took part in the Primary Mathematics Challenge - an annual national competition for Year 5 and 6 pupils across the UK.

The challenge is designed to spark enthusiasm, build confidence, and strengthen problem-solving and reasoning skills - and our pupils certainly rose to the challenge.

Children from ten local primary schools joined together for a fantastic morning of mathematical investigations. The activities were fun, stretching, and wonderfully challenging - giving our team the chance to think critically, solve tricky puzzles, and put their arithmetic skills to the test.

Our pupils had a brilliant time (the magic trick at the end was a definite highlight!) and we’re so proud of the determination and teamwork they showed throughout.

We’ll receive marks and certificates in the coming weeks from Ahead 4 Numbers - and we’ll be sure to update you when they arrive!

Thank you to Emma Aslett from Ahead 4 Numbers, and Welland Park Academy for kindly hosting once again.
