Each Tuesday the ‘Open the Book’ team, a group of GB parishioners, deliver a collective worship assembly as school. Each week the team bring stories alive by acting out a story from the bible, along with some willing volunteers from the audience, in front of the children.

We love how this approach deepens learning, making the narratives more immediate and memorable. By seeing and participating in the drama, our students make abstract ideas concrete, spark their imaginations, and gain stronger emotional connection to the story’s message. It encourages discussion, critical thinking, and helps embed the values we explore.

It's also a meaningful way to connect with our community. A big thank you to all the Open the Book team who volunteer their time each week.
