Q. Do you offer wraparound care?

A. The school day runs from 8.45am until 3.30pm. Whilst we don’t have onsite wrap around care, we do have a fantastic relationship with Castle Lane Day Nursery. Castle Lane run excellent Breakfast and After-school Clubs where staff run fun activities before shuttling the children to and from school each day in a mini bus. More details can be found on their website www.castlelanedaynursery.co.uk/after-school-club/

We also offer a range of before and after-school clubs including sports activities, mostly lead by our Sports Coach, dance and science classes and our choir.

Q. Who is your sister school?

A. Ridgeway Primary Academy is our sister school. We share the same Executive Head, Sarah Bishop, and some of our staff split their time between our school and Ridgeway. This arrangement works really well as we share our expertise and all children benefit. Great Bowden has its own Head of School, Rebecca Blagburn, who oversees the day to day running of the school and staff.

Q. Do you offer after-school clubs?

A. Yes. We hold a variety of free after school sports activities, organised by our Sport Coach, Mr Kadiri. These change every half-term and are delivered on a first booked in basis (via Arbor).  We also work with local business to deliver extra activities to benefit our pupils. For a full list and timetable please contact the Office.

Q. What is the school food like?

A. Our school meals are freshly cooked each day on site. We work with LTS Catering Services who cook the food, devise the menus and ensure the food is of a high standard, nutritionally balanced and tasty. There are two options to choose from each day. School meals are free in Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1, but need to be paid for in Key Stage 2. Children can also bring a packed lunch if the wish. To pay for a school meal please log into your ParentPay account. For more information and to see our current lunch menu please click here
