Geography: Poles Apart
.png)
As part of their geography topic on the polar regions, Class 5 have been exploring why the poles experience such extreme daylight hours. Using globes and torches, the children investigated how the Earth’s tilt and orbit around the Sun cause the polar regions to be dark all day in winter and light all day in summer.
A brilliant hands-on lesson that brought learning to life and helped the children really see how our planet works. Well done, Class 5.
